Lynda R. Smith, Ph.D., NCC, LPC
Lincensed Clinical Social Worker

Dr. Smith received her Doctor of Philosophy in Counseling Psychology with emphasis in community mental health in 1993.  Soon after, she set up a private practice with focus on mood disorders; however, as the years past, she begin observing more clients confronting issues of not just sexuality, but the harsh reality of HIV/AIDS. There was very little support and understanding of how individuals could maintain their health with only medication or how family members could help their love ones and confront issues associated with being the primary caretaker. Often they did not feel comfortable sharing information about their fears of judgment and stigmatization related to sexuality or health status. This lead her to pursue ways to provide the education, support and therapy needed for individuals with sexuality issues and/or those infected or affected by HIV/AIDS.

Lynda is a professional counselor, wellness consultant, group and seminar instructor, HIV/AIDS instructor and experienced in short term crisis management. Her love of people and experience of over 20 years providing therapeutic support and services to individuals of diversified backgrounds continue to grow.
