Terence McPhaul is the founder of McPhaul Consultants
and Personal Advisors®, the only agency in the world providing
counseling, therapy, life coaching and personal advisor services
exclusively for celebrities.
McPhaul developed a curriculum entitled Managing
Success and Celebrity™ that is used to provide new and veteran
celebrities with the tools to navigate stardom from the perspective
of one’s emotional health. Terence McPhaul is founder of the
annual Managing Success and Celebrity™ Conference. Answering
the call to address the mounting emotional needs of individuals
living in the public eye, the Managing Success and Celebrity™
training has provided celebrities and others with a clear roadmap
to successfully cope with life’s challenges. McPhaul founded
LeSerenite® Wellness Center, a highly discerning celebrity getaway
for emotional respite.
As a Professor of Psychology and Organizational
Behavior, McPhaul has been described as the perfect source of theoretical,
practical and culturally sound information. McPhaul is the author
of “The Celebrity Psyche”, and “The Psychology
of Hip Hop”. In 2007 McPhaul’s latest book, “Managing
Success and Celebrity”, is being released to the public. Before
returning to school to earn a graduate degree in Counseling Psychology,
McPhaul was a Hazardous Materials Chemist. Later he became an HIV/AIDS
Counselor. As a National Certified Sports Counselor, McPhaul revolutionized
emotional and behavioral care for professional athletes, helping
individuals to stay focused, optimize skill level, and improve quality
of life.
McPhaul is regularly sought by program directors
of TV talk shows and national media as an expert in the field of
Mental Health to deliver perspective, or respond to programming
regarding social and behavioral issues. McPhaul has been interviewed
by USA Today, FORBES, and AllHipHop.com. He has appeared on The
Tavis Smiley Show, Court TV, The O’Reilly Factor for FOX News,
and numerous radio programs throughout the world, including, Eminem’s
Shade 45 (New York), WBLS (New York), WVEE (Atlanta), WAOK (Atlanta),
and BBC’s 1Xtra (London).
McPhaul is a former board member of National Mental
Health Association of Georgia and Living Room, Inc.
